Arielle Aaronson

is a French-to-English translator of books, films, TV, and more.

She works closely with publishers across Canada to promote stories from Quebec and beyond and build an international readership.

Her translations have been shortlisted for the 2023 Governor General’s Literary Award and longlisted for the 2021 Canada Reads book of the year. A former public school teacher, Arielle led a literary translation workshop for the Quebec Writer’s Federation in 2022 and has received grants from both the Canada Council for the Arts and the Centre national du livre (CNL) to advance her translation projects.

Arielle lives in Montreal, Quebec with her husband, their three children, and an ever-growing pile of books.
